Lost & Found

The early years
Born and raised in a very small town I early realized that I was different to other people. I never wanted to have one of these fabulous weddings, building a house, starting a family and all that stuff like so many of my straight friends do or dream of. But I don't want that. I'm not that average girl. I don't say that being average is bad, of course not. I also don't say that I'm better or worse than anyone else. I'm just who I am, a woman with different dreams.

The new start
As a lesbian in such a small city - if you can even call it "city" - it's not that easy. Every single gay person I knew here in this area has moved to bigger cities. Every relationship I had was a long distance one. All my gay friends were many miles away. It sucked. It took me some years to make this huge step, but I knew that I had to do it. NOW!

So I quit my job, rent an apartment and now I'm moving, to Vienna, the capital city of Austria. My new life has just started. YEAH!

Women in music

Besides U2 and yes, sometimes Robbie Williams and some of that mainstream stuff I really like to listen to music from this "strong" women like Melissa Etheridge, P!nk, Garrison Starr, Melissa Ferrick, Indigo Girls ... How could they make such good music? Or am I just listening to them because they are gay? Are they so talented because they are gay? I don't know. What do you think? Yeah ok, P!nk is not gay, but HELLO, her mentor was Linda Perry!

There were some great CDs released lately

Rosenstolz - Das Grosse Leben (Amazon.com, Amazon.de)
Garrison Starr - The Sound Of You And Me (Amazon.com)
P!nk - I'm Not Dead (Amazon.com, Amazon.de)
Silbermond - Laut gedacht (Amazon.de, Amazon.de)

Check them out!!
